MEET OUR PASTOR
Name: Linda Harnish
Where I’ve Lived: Grew up in Mt. Nebo Village, Pequea, PA, briefly lived in Lancaster City, and then moved to Holtwood when I married my husband. We’ve been in the same home for 30+ years.
Family: Married to Steve for 32 years. He was the youngest of 5 Harnish siblings, all sisters except him. I am the oldest of 6 Regitz siblings. We were never blessed with children, but we have loved and been involved in children’s ministry all of our married life.
Education: Penn Manor High School, Eastern PA United Methodist Pastoral Licensing School, continuing education as I go.
How I Got to Christiana UMC: Appointed by the EPA Southwest District Committee on Ministry
The Most Important Thing I Do Around Here: Be a supportive and caring person for the family of God and our community
Favorites:
Music: Popular Modern Christian Music heard on radio WJTL, Kids Music, Classical
Food: Asian Cuisine, Seafood and Steak
T.V. Shows: I’m a PBS fan - Downton Abbey, Doc Martin, Larkrise to Candleford
Movies: Little Women, Anne of Green Gables
Places to Eat: Isaac’s Restaurant, Texas Road House, Wasabi at Kendig Square (Asian cuisine), and mom & pop restaurants just for fun
How I Spend My Free Time: There is free time? Never a dull moment! Spend time with our families, campfire cookouts, catching up with friends, trying new recipes, repainting the house – it really needs it and we are partially done! Practicing piano or learning a new worship song.
My Vision for Christiana: Being the hands, feet, and heart of Christ in the community
